What we collect, why, and what we don't do with it. Short version: we don't sell your data.

Who we are

Bevel & Bone (https://bevelandbone.com) is a chef-knife and sharpening buying-guide site published by Type 5 Marketing LLC. You can reach us any time at info@bevelandbone.com.

Information we collect

  • Contact form. If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address and message you submit. We use them only to read and reply to your message. The submission is emailed to us via Microsoft Graph; we don't add you to any marketing list.
  • Analytics.We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, which pages are read and how people navigate the site. This uses cookies and collects data such as your approximate location, device and pages viewed. It helps us decide what to write next; we don't use it to identify you personally.
  • Server logs.Like any website, our host records standard request data (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) for security and reliability. Our contact form uses your IP address transiently for spam rate-limiting; it isn't stored long-term.

Affiliate links and cookies

When you click a buy link, you're taken to Amazon through an affiliate link. Amazon may set a cookie so that any resulting purchase is attributed to us for commission. That process is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure for how this works.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share the contents of your contact-form messages with anyone outside our team, except as needed to operate the site (our email provider) or if required by law.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use browser or extension controls to opt out of analytics. You can ask us what contact-form data we hold about you, or to delete it, by emailing info@bevelandbone.com.

Children

This site is intended for adults buying kitchen equipment and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date on the page.
